About This Project
According to the WHO, cancer in 2020 was responsible for 10 million global deaths. If precautions are not taken, the global cancer burden is projected to exceed 27 million new cases per year by 2040. This project takes a comprehensive approach to cancer prevention by encouraging healthy lifestyles which also indirectly reduces environmental pollution.
Objectives
Promote cancer prevention through behavioural and metabolic risk factor reduction: healthy diet, physical activity, and weight management
Raise community awareness about breast cancer and cancer risks, focusing on populations in Türkiye and partner countries
Engage volunteers in community outreach targeting children, young people, women, and cancer patients
Encourage adoption of healthy lifestyles that indirectly reduce environmental pollution through more conscious consumer behaviour
