Certification of youth skills-Rabat

Launch Date: Aug 31, 2025 — Location: Rabat, Morocco

As part of the Youth for Peace in the Mediterranean Sea project, co-funded with support from the European Commission, our organisation proudly organised the Moroccan edition of the video contest “United for a More Peaceful and Inclusive Mediterranean.”

The contest invited young people from across Morocco to present their creative visions for peace, inclusion, and intercultural dialogue. Participants, aged between 18 and 30, worked individually or in small groups, linking their ideas to one of the European Youth Goals. Many young people answered the call, producing videos that reflected their hopes, struggles, and innovative solutions for a more united Mediterranean.

After a rigorous evaluation process carried out by a national jury and a stage of public voting, the Moroccan winners were announced. Their video won recognition for its creativity, authenticity, and strong message of youth empowerment and social cohesion.

To honour their achievement, the winners received official certificates that validate the skills they gained throughout the contest. These certificates highlight not only their success in the competition but also the abilities they developed in storytelling, teamwork, and digital creativity. This recognition gives the winners visibility at both national and international levels and strengthens their profiles as active young leaders.

The winners also documented their journey through a series of photos showing their teamwork, filming process, and pride in representing Moroccan youth on a regional stage. These images will be featured in the final project video “Participatory Proposals for a More Peaceful and Inclusive Mediterranean,” which will compile all winning entries from the participating countries and will be presented at the project’s closing conference later in 2025.

For the winners, this moment went far beyond the competition. It provided recognition of their efforts, certification of their skills, and validation of their creativity. For the project as a whole, it proved once again that young people can act as true agents of change, shaping narratives of peace and inclusion through the power of digital storytelling.
