About the Programme
What is MedinEu?
MedinEu is a 3-year hybrid programme that brings together 80+ young people from 6 Mediterranean and European countries for an extended journey of peace education and intercultural dialogue. Unlike traditional short-term exchanges, MedinEu builds a single cohort that grows together over 36 months — creating deep, lasting connections across cultures.
The programme combines virtual youth exchanges, collaborative online workshops, and in-person meetups to create a unique learning experience that adapts to the realities of cross-Mediterranean cooperation. Participants develop intercultural competences, conflict resolution skills, and a shared understanding of peace and coexistence in the Euro-Mediterranean space.
Objectives
What We Set Out to Achieve
Build a sustainable community of 80+ young peacebuilders across 6 Mediterranean and European countries
Develop intercultural dialogue and conflict resolution competences through sustained, long-term engagement
Create and test a hybrid methodology combining virtual exchanges with in-person meetings
Produce a Mediterranean Peace Education Toolkit as an Open Educational Resource
Strengthen the capacity of partner organisations to deliver virtual youth exchanges
